LoreLoop ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and profile information. If you subscribe to premium features, payment information is processed by the respective app store and is not stored by us directly.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you use the App, including the historical eras and experiences you read, your ratings and reading progress, session duration and frequency, device information (type, operating system, unique device identifiers), and app performance data.

Engagement and Preference Data: We collect data on your interactions with experiences, including likes, dislikes, favorites, completion status, reading streaks, account age, and total unique days of app usage. This data is initially stored locally on your device and is synced to our servers when an internet connection is detected (typically upon app launch). If you are offline, all engagement data is queued locally and transmitted automatically the next time a connection is available.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Services; personalize your reading experience and recommend relevant historical content; process transactions and manage your account; communicate with you about updates, features, and promotional offers; analyze usage patterns to improve the App's performance and content; improve and train our content recommendation models using aggregated, anonymized engagement data (likes, dislikes, favorites, completion rates, and usage patterns); ensure the security and integrity of the Services; and comply with legal obligations.

Model Improvement: Anonymized and aggregated engagement data may be used to improve our content curation, recommendation algorithms, and overall service quality. This data is stripped of personally identifiable information before being used for any analytical or model-training purposes. You cannot be individually identified from this aggregated data.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: service providers who assist in operating the App (hosting, analytics, customer support); law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law; third parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with prior notice to users); and aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you individually may be shared for research or analytical purposes.
