Terms of Service

Welcome to LoreLoop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LoreLoop mobile application ("App") and related services ("Services") provided by LoreLoop ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

2. Description of Service

LoreLoop is an immersive history reading application that provides rich historical experiences, including but not limited to: historical scenes and narrative content written in second person, cinematic artwork accompanying each scene, curated historical content spanning five major eras of human history, and a library of 300 experiences across 30 historical roles.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the App, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4. Subscription and Payments

LoreLoop offers a free tier with access to a selection of experiences, and a Pro upgrade available as a one-time in-app purchase. The Pro upgrade unlocks all 300 experiences across all 5 eras and 30 historical roles. All payments are processed through the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) and are subject to their terms and conditions.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws; attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems; use the Services to generate, store, or transmit content that is defamatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable; or share your account credentials with third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the exclusive property of LoreLoop or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Data Collection for Service Improvement

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that LoreLoop may collect anonymized usage data — including but not limited to experience likes, dislikes, favorites, completion rates, reading streaks, and engagement metrics — for the purpose of improving our content, recommendations, and overall service quality. This data is stored locally on your device and synced to our servers when an internet connection is available. All synced data is aggregated and anonymized before being used for analysis and model improvement. You may review the specifics of what data is collected in our Privacy Policy.

8. Content Disclaimer

While we strive for historical accuracy, content within LoreLoop may contain creative interpretations of historical events and settings. The content provided through the App is intended for educational and entertainment purposes and should not be cited as a primary historical source.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LoreLoop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Services.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
